Manav Sampada App (m-STHAPANA)

The Manav Sampada App, officially called m-STHAPANA, is the mobile version of the Manav Sampada UP eHRMS portal (ehrms.upsdc.gov.in). Developed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC), this app has made HR services digital, secure, and paperless for government employees in Uttar Pradesh.

Earlier, employees had to visit their department for small HR tasks like applying for leave or getting salary slips. Now, with the manav sampada app, all these services are accessible on smartphones with a few clicks.

What is the Manav Sampada App?

The manav sampada app acts as the mobile gateway of the sampada portal. It is designed under the Digital India mission to make HR services transparent and easy.

Through this app, employees from all departments—teachers, doctors, police, clerical staff, administrative officers—can perform tasks such as:

• Applying for different types of leave.
  
• Downloading salary slip and pension slip.
  
• Checking digital service book details.
  
• Receiving notifications and government orders instantly.
  

Benefits of Using the App

Using the ehrms login on a desktop is helpful, but the mobile app makes it more convenient. Some key advantages include:

1. 24/7 HR Access
   Employees can use the app anytime, even outside office hours, to apply for leave or download salary slips.
   
2. Time Saving
   No need to visit offices or stand in queues. Tasks that earlier took days are now completed in minutes.
   
3. Completely Paperless
   No printed leave forms or physical salary slips are required. All documents are digital and legally valid.
   
4. Secure Login
   The app uses secure ehrms login credentials issued by the UP government.
   
5. Instant Notifications
   Get alerts for leave approvals, salary credits, transfer orders, and new government notifications.
   

How to Download the Official App

Important Security Tip: Always download the app from official sources only.

• For Android Users:
  
  1. Open Google Play Store.
     
  2. Search “Manav Sampada” or “m-STHAPANA.”
     
  3. Check the developer name – Uttar Pradesh Government / NIC.
     
  4. Tap Install to download.
     
• For iOS Users:
  The app is not yet available on Apple App Store. iPhone users can access services on the mobile website ehrms.upsdc.gov.in.
  
• For APK Installation (Other Devices):
  
  1. Visit the official portal.
     
  2. Open the “Downloads” section.
     
  3. Download the m-STHAPANA APK file.
     
  4. Enable “Install from Unknown Sources” in settings.
     
  5. Install and open the app.
     

First Login on the App

Once downloaded, follow these steps for the first login:

1. Open the manav sampada app.
   
2. Enter your official User ID.
   
3. Type the password.
   
   • First-time users: Default password is the first 3 letters of your name (capital) + year of birth (e.g., RAJ1985).
     
   • Returning users: Use your updated password.
     
4. Tap Login.
   
5. If you logged in with the default password, the app will ask you to change it for security.
   

Applying for Leave Using the App

The leave application process is one of the most used features:

1. Log in to the app.
   
2. Tap on “Leave Application.”
   
3. Select leave type (Casual, Medical, Earned, Maternity, Study, etc.).
   
4. Enter From and To dates.
   
5. Write the reason for leave.
   
6. Upload required documents (if applicable).
   
7. Submit and track status under “Application History.”
   

Important Leave Rules

• Medical Leave: Doctor’s certificate must be issued within 48 hours of applying.
  
• Maternity Leave: Hospital certificate before delivery.
  
• Childcare Leave: Birth certificate + school note, applicable for children under 12 years.
  
• Study Leave: Admission proof of recognized university.
  

Other Features of m-STHAPANA App

Apart from leave management, the app offers several useful services:

• Salary Slip & Pension Slip:
  Download monthly salary slips or pension slips in PDF format with QR code and NIC digital signature.
  
• Digital Service Book:
  View your professional history like postings, transfers, increments, and promotions.
  
• Transfer Orders:
  Access latest transfer orders directly from the app.
  
• Notifications:
  Get real-time updates about salary credits, leave approvals, or government orders.
  
• Employee Directory:
  Search contact details of colleagues in your department with privacy controls.
  

Resetting Forgotten Password

If you forget your password, follow these steps:

1. Go to the ehrms login page in the app.
   
2. Tap on “Forgot Password.”
   
3. Enter your User ID and registered mobile number.
   
4. Receive an OTP and create a new password.
   
5. If recovery fails, contact your department nodal officer.
   

Security Features (2025 Updates)

To protect employee data, the app has strong security:

• Password expiry every 90 days.
  
• Digital signatures on salary slips and service book records.
  
• CAPTCHA-based login security.
  
• AES-256 encryption for data protection.
